Maggie Grace is an American actress born Margaret Grace Denig in 1983. Her best-known roles include Shannon Rutherford, a character from ABC's Lost series as well as Kim Mills from the Taken trilogy. The couple had separated and she relocated with her mother into Los Angeles. However, in 2001, despite financial struggles, she was able to secure her first big part in the web-based video series Rachel's Room in the role of Rachel's Room's main character. After earning a Young Artist Award in 2002 for her portrayal in Murder on the streets of Greenwich of 15 year aged Martha Moxley as a murder victim, she went on to win. Grace Rutherford was the character Shannon Rutherford for Lost's first two seasons in 2004, as well as sharing the Screen Actors Guild Award (with the rest of the cast) alongside her. The show ended in 2005 and Grace would like to be more prominently in film having played opposite Tom Welling in The Fog in 2005. In 2007, she appeared on screen in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club as well as, alongside the Liam Neeson character Kim Mills as Kim Mills in Taken. The role was reprised for Taken 2 (2012) and Taken 3 (2014).She played the main character Alice in Malice in Wonderland a modern adaptation of Lewis Carroll's book Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace returned to the Lost series in the final two episodes, playing Shannon. In 2013, she appears in Californianation, the 6th Season. The actress portrays Faith as a groupie and is also a model actors. Hank Moody is played by David Duchovny. She is a member of the Gyllenhaal family, she is the daughter and elder sister of actor Jake Gyllenhaal. When she was in her teens, she played small parts in the films of her father and she co-starred alongside her sister in Donnie Darko, a popular cult movie. Her subsequent roles included Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind which was released in 2002 as well as Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal has received acclaim from critics for her performances as the lead in the erotic romance comedy Secretary (2002) as well as the thriller Sherrybaby (2006) both of which resulted in a Golden Globe Award nomination. She gained wider recognition for her role as Rachel Dawes, a superhero in The Dark Knight (2008) due to the success of several commercial films she starred in during 2006. As the single mother in Crazy Heart (2009) she got a nomination in the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. The most recent roles include the protagonist in The Kindergarten Teacher (2018). Gyllenhaal made her debut as a director and writer in 2021 with her psychological drama The Lost Daughter. For the film, she won the Best Screenplay Award at the Venice International Film Festival and nominated for an Academy Award.
