John Denver is a popular musician and singer who has been able to touch many by his lyrics. Most of his songs are based on Colorado. Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. was born in Roswell in New Mexico. He was enthralled by Colorado and eventually settled in Aspen. More than a few people beat a path through Colorado after hearing Denver's popular songs for his home state. G. Brown the curator of Colorado Music Hall of Fame stated that John Denver was by far one of the top performers who embodies Colorado. Denver was a member of the Hall of Fame as its initial member in the year 2011. He is the face of Colorado to many all over the world. You meet people in other countries, like New Zealanders. They tell them "I am originally from Colorado" And they immediately respond by saying Oh John Denver. Brown clarified. Take Me Home Country Roads - cowritten with Bill Danoff - was Denver's first Top 10 single as a solo singer after a brief stint in small folk bands. Danoff wrote the song with Johnny Cash in mind but the moment Denver saw an early rendition immediately, he realized it was destined to be an instant hit. The song was first recorded a few weeks after it was performed in Washington D.C. performance.
